GreenD ist eine Bildungsinitiative, die es sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat die Design-Ausbildung nachhaltig umzudenken und umzukrempeln. Bisher ist das Thema Nachhaltigkeit kein fester und zentraler Bestandteil des Curriculums vieler (Design-) Hochschulen. GreenD soll zur Förderung von Nachhaltigkeits-Pionier:innen beitragen und sie befähigen, Lösungsansätze für die öko-soziale Transformation zu entwickeln. Entscheidend ist die Bildung eigener Perspektiven und Handlungsweisen in der Auseinandersetzung mit weiteren sozialen-, gesellschaftlichen-, politischen- und wirtschaftlichen Bedingungen und Optionen. GreenD is an educational initiative that aims to rethink and transform design education in a sustainable way. Until now, the topic of sustainability has not been a fixed and central part of the curriculum of many (design) universities. GreenD is intended to contribute to the promotion of sustainability pioneers and to enable them to develop solutions for the eco-social transformation. The decisive factor is the formation of one's own perspectives and ways of acting in the confrontation with further social, societal, political and economic conditions and options.

Ausgangspunkt und Orientierung des Projektes sind die Ziele der SDGs der Vereinten Nationen und der Green Deal der Europäischen Union. Unser Grundsatz lautet: feel think action! Unsere Vision ist, dass Nachhaltigkeit ein integraler Bestandteil aller Bildungseinrichtungen und Grundlage für unser Verständnis, unser Bewusstsein und unser Handeln wird. Die Mission ist es Nachhaltigkeits-Pionier:innen im Designbereich zu impulsieren, zu unterstützen und zur transdisziplinären- und interkulturellen Zusammenarbeit zu motivieren. Diese werden zu Multiplikator:innen einer Graswurzelbewegung an ihren Hochschulen und darüber hinaus. The starting point and orientation of the project are the goals of the SDGs of the United Nations and the Green Deal of the European Union. Our principle is: feel think action! Our vision is that sustainability becomes an integral part of all educational institutions and the basis for our understanding, awareness and action. Our mission is to inspire, support and motivate sustainability pioneers in the design field to work together transdisciplinarily and interculturally. They become multipliers of a grassroots movement at their universities and beyond.
Summer School
GreenD will mit unterschiedlichen Bildungsformaten wie Vorträgen, Workshops und erlebnispädagogischer Summer Schools arbeiten. Gesammelte Ergebnisse und Erfahrungen werden über die greenD Plattform und weitere Medien an die Öffentlichkeit publiziert. Die aktuell geplante greenD Summer School soll in Frankreich auf einem nachhaltigen Forschungs-Segelboot stattfinden. GreenD wants to work with different educational formats such as lectures, workshops and experiential summer schools. Collected results and experiences will be published to the public via the greenD platform and other media. The currently planned greenD Summer School will take place in France on a sustainable research sailing boat.
